Cool website #1

www.redkid.net

RedKid.net is a someone's personal project and has such fun stuff on it, I'm sure you'll enjoy browsing it for a few minutes or hours (I did). Everything is easy to find, easy to read, and rated for all audiences. I especially like the sign generator section (you have got to try creating your own bumper sticker!), and there are several to choose from. There's an arcade, student resources, and so many fun things to do.

My Coke Rewards program

Register at My Coke Rewards

The Coca-Cola Company is currently running a product-purchase rewards program, called My Coke Rewards. You can collect codes from under caps and inside boxes from several of their varieties of beverages. After entering these codes on the website, and once you have saved up enough points, you can redeem the points for all sorts of freebies and goodies! They have had all sorts of sports merchandise (NASCAR, NFL, NBA, etc.), Coke branded swag, magazine subscriptions, and (my favorite) even free rentals from Blockbuster. The goodies are occasionally sold out, but new ones are being added all the time! Once in a while they have a day where all the points you get that day are doubled! The only negative is that they limit you to entering 10 codes or less per day.
Sign up now and enter these codes:

How to build a website 1.0

One of the coolest moments in life is when you say to someone whose hand you just shook, "Check out my website". Having your own personal website is excellent for telling your friends about news in your family. Having a business website is excellent for making money, from a couple extra mad money bucks to part-time income, or even full-time income! Having a hobby website makes it easier to connect with people of similar interests, and generate real appreciation for your efforts. Having a professional-looking website that you built yourself is a bonus on top of all other benifits. Not everybody can build their own website, and many more just think they can't. It's actually easier than it looks.

All websites on the internet are made of files written in a language that browsers can understand and interpret what to display to you. This language is called "HTML", which stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. Even if you decide not to build yourself a website, knowing this language is a major asset in doing things on the internet. You can certainly spice up your eBay auctions, if you do those. In any case, there is this group called the "World Wide Web Consortium" (Website Here), and what they do is determine what standards the HTML language should have, to keep browsers from mucking things up. Related to them is a website with bountiful resources for learning website building, and that's where I would recommend starting:
